The Thirteenth Floor

-Interesting premise
-Solid performances

-Flaws in direction and execution
-Not too exciting
-Bad dialogue

The trailers for this movie caught my eye. "Question Reality. You can go there even though it doesn't exist," as the tagline says. It sounded so cool. But despite such an engaging premise, in the end I was disappointed. The main problem in this movie is of how the point of view was told, and how the hero in the end turns out to be a phony. The movie had some good moments, but you’re better off watching a good Star Trek episode of the same premise.

Grade: C

Grading Scale:
A = Outstanding and Innovative. A suspenseful and thought-provoking movie with originality and great direction.
B = Good. Nothing spectacular but otherwise a good, solid movie.
C = Fair. An average, lackluster movie that has some redeeming values.
D = Poorly done movie with major flaws in plot and direction. The story is usually confusing or uninteresting. Not recommended.
F = Completely Worthless.
