Apocalypse in the East

As the fiery vortex of NewYork wailed in endless woe,
The stampede of the people awakened her dreaming subburbs.
The tranquil sky, from cyan to unbearable crimson,
Trembled, and the howling gale of autumn swept away peace.
The voice of the terrorists roared, triumphantly, like fierce lions,
The indigo light of the ocean, soon, to be extinguished;
Each heart beat of America, like the soft voice of a dying nightingale,
Began to hum the last love melody to the people
While the statue of Liberty promptly ceased dancing her Tango, forever...
Red, blue and white, now, tarnished and forever, lost all of the gleaming stars.
