Mike, dont ou think you're a little too oung to be talking of Electrical Engineering? I mean, do you seriously expect me to beleive that youw oul be capable of understanding the intricasies of a p-n junstion, or forward bias and reverse bias, breakdown voltage or Zener diode concepts? Tell me, if you can, how a shunt filter capacitor works when the input votage is ac? Go on, im listening!

You are young. Just go to college it will confuse you for years What would you expect from someone older? More experience. More knowledge. I don't think all that much of IQ's. Take a look at how IQ's are determined. In my field of Electrical Engineering the average IQ (was) 130-140. I don't know what mine is nor do I really care either. Let me tell you something though. When I went to college I made basically straight A's in what I call 'flake courses' like English and History and philosophy and psychology. Only science slowed me down. These flake courses helped keep my GPA up. If you can do mathematics you can soar through all the other fields very quickly. Put another way, any 3'rd grader can fart philosophy but just try and find someone that can talk about quantum field theory or general relativity. Philosophers like to fool themselves into believing people that know mathematics are not capable of doing philosophy but I have found some of the most profound things come straight out of mathematics and science. Thats why I like some things in yoga also. Hard to poke holes in it. Just think, if you are 20 how much will you know when you are 40!!! I guess you are having your intellectual awakening right now!!

Well, I asked you this because I noticed you have a lot to say on lots of different fields. I didn't care about knowledge much before but now I'm like a knowledge-holic. I want to know everything. It makes me feel really good if I know about stuff and how they work. The more I know the bigger is the "playground" in my mind where I can fuse different things from different fields and it gives some sense of freedom to me. Plus I'm not really interested in money that much, I'm more interested in having privilieges to know stuff. There is no doupt that determination is a big key for success, but this isn't everything. People with higher IQ will learn the material much faster than people with lower IQ, and therefore they reach their goal (gathering information) faster. This is the thing I want to know...how long did it take for u to get the knowledge you have today? And how long would it take for someone with iq 110 to reach the same amount of knowledge, if they're determined? Plus I'm getting really discouraged about the fact that I didn't learn almost anything for like 18 years (I'm 20 now)...so I got a long way to go, the reason why I say that is that I have all-or-nothing attitude, and if I haven't learned anything til now I won't waste my time for that either, because the chances to reach my well being through knowledge are decreased.

Consciousness is the experiencer. The mind only captures conceptions (like pictures) of experiences. If you ask anyone that has a lot of money they will not deny knowledge played an important role. But if knowledge was all it took, then why aren't all the people with PhD's all wealthy? Persistence is obviously more difficult. The knowledge comes as a side effect of persistence or determination. If someone is driven there is no standing in their way. But if someone pursues knowledge for knowledge sake it is more likely they will simply be lost/blown away by it/over-impressed by it and distracted from achieving any particular goal. Why would you ask me such a thing? I must have impressed you somehow but I don't know what that might be from what you have said.

Do I have the ability to know same much as you one day if I have an IQ of 110 and I am dedicated and interested in this stuff? xD

Superstring theory is mysticism since there is nothing in it that has been shown to be correct by science. The most popular show on TV in the US is NCIS and Gibbs is famous for his 'gut feeling'. Not 'mysticism feeling.' Same way with Criminal Minds FBI psychological profilers on TV. Have to be careful with mysticism. SUSY is also mysticism. So is the BB. Never been tested by science. I am currently looking at stellar mass black holes.

Mike i think once we accept that 11 dimensions make up space time the whole picture becomes a lot less confused. garvity leaks from a differant tree of life. excuse the spelling I am in a rush. I admit this is mystisium but how often have te mystics been right.

Hi Paradox, I haven't posted anything lately on science that was actual science so I guess you mean you like those questions I asked. I got bogged down in gravity but I should have an article out the door soon on one or more aspects of it pretty soon. Most of those questions are not new (on aliens/gravity etc) but are well known by people in their fields. How do you get intelligent life? What will ET look like? What is the nearest safe distance for a supernova explosion? (they can outshine a galaxy of 100 billion stars at their peak intensity). How often do they happen? What is the height of a tsunami from an asteroid that is1 mile in diameter that strikes the Earth at 25,000 mph? What is the average speed of meteors and asteroids? Size? Its a lot easier to come up with these questions than answer them.

We seem to have got off on the wrong foot. Your posts in science are quite interesting by the way.

Fortunately, I don't have this problem with FC. The only security software I use is Kaspersky antivirus/antieverything. People say it is not very good, but once I turned it off and got a full computer of viruses. So I keep using it.

I am happy to hear it, Mike. If you went away I would not like this place as much as I like it when you are here. Hope in case you are leaving FC you will let me know where else in the net you could be found. Spending the rest of my life without reading your posts is above me.
