I know it doesn't seem as mind blowing as other research that goes on, but I love it. A little space vehicle doing a year long study of Mercury. I also heard they plan to launch it back to earth using either the sun's or mercury's gravitational field.

Sooo, I don't understand why soooo many people still only aim at ivy league schools. I think I would've been happier at a smaller less well known school. There are plenty of places for young academics to head off too, but oh no they have to set themselves up for rejection. =/ Your undergraduate degree matters very little.

Back at Harvard, my professor went on a giant rant about wavelet theory and the future of the theory. I always knew it was useful, but it's nice to see mathematicians actually doing something good. We get some much trash for being loners.
