Are there any honest people over the age of about 3?.

Are there any honest people over the age of about 3? Or are they all over about this age playing loose with reality due to dangerously compromising their very being?

My hope is that honesty still exists out there in post-3 year-olds or will come back to those who have apparently prostrated themselves before a world of lies and lying
.

Honesty to one's self, or an acceptable code of honesty ? I mean there are those who are honestly pleasant good people, while there are those who honestly want to do harm to others. Looking at honesty in a non-conventional way, which I must, my belief is the Spirit that enters and eventially leaves a human is still pure in the very young under good normal circumstances, then the journey begins through a life where only where animals and babies are completely honest.

These days I trust a Timber Rattler to be a Timber Rattler rather than to trust most humans.

But, can a dog be as honest as an orca?

And... what should xenophobes pretend to be?

...not unless your are as a child...

Yeah. Me.

PoseidonsNet 07-22-2010 09:14 PM

you lied on the why-is-the-sky-blue thread,
you claimed the sun is white

whereas in your earlier interview
you noted that it was a type G yellow dwarf star

so you argued it other than the truth
purely to be obstructive - thats lying

this is a forum for discussion
and you obstruct discussion 99% of the time

thats worse than a lie
because it prevents truth from being aired
as people are put off by your childlike rudeness

:-!

And you think being a tattle tale is better?

Quite, notice that redheads don't actually have red hair; that bluegrass is green; that blackheads aren't; that white people are pinkish; that no-one goes green with envy; that snow isn't white.

Dude, are you even aware of ****how**** stupid PoseidonsNet is?

Look at me in that thread explain to him what red shift is. It's embarrassing.

PoseidonsNet 07-24-2010 05:06 PM

type G star ~ yellow
red shift ~ expanding universe

and i ask for the nth time
what color is the twin star Albireo really?

Seeing as we see them as a blue and a yellow star,
categorised according to their color/wavelength

http://www.download-pc-game.com/albireo.jpg

you can search elsewhere on the net to see
how stars are categorised correctly

in symptom-land the sun is not really yellow, its white, despite being a type G star
in copy-paste-cat land, the sun is actually GREEN

now here is another lie:
they both disagree with me,
whilst holding opinions contrary to each other,
whilst 'pretending' that their amusing misunderstandings
are in agreement with each other

never mind that they are both simply wrong
;-j

Symptom777 07-25-2010 04:36 PM

It's actually slightly pink.

I'm aware of more than that

No, the sun appears white to us, however, the most common emitted frequency of the sun is in the green part of the visible spectrum.

Symptom777 07-26-2010 07:13 PM

I think yellow. The peak is at about 510nm.
But the total light is pinkish...

"The surface temperature of the sun us about 6000K … From Wien's Displacement law,

λ = 2.898 mmK / 6000 K = 483 nm

This wavelength is in the middle of the visible spectrum."
Quote:

"This radiation spans the ultraviolet to far-infrared wavelength of about 0.5 microns."
Quote:

[Chart Irradiance vs. Wavelength
peak at approximately 0.475 microns]
Quote:

"We call this simple relation, 'Wien's Displacement Law'. It is very simple. We can write it as
W T = Constant
where
W = Wavelength (Angstroms)
T = Temperature (Degree Kelvin)
Constant = 2.898 107

This means if we observe the color of a star, we can estimate it surface temperature, or it we know the surface temperature we can predict its color. For our Sun, let us use 5750 K. Using this equation we get
W = Constant/T
W = 2.898 107 / 5750
W = 5040 Angstrom"
Quote:

"… Wien's Law: peak wavelength = 0.29 cm/T in the core of the sun, where the temperature is 107 K. just below the photosphere, where the temperature is 104 K."
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2002/TahirAhmed.shtml

Averaging the first 4 (ignoring the last one indicating peak surface radiation at 290 nm), the average is 490 nm, which is Cyan. Slightly above green, slightly below blue.

Your thoughts?

As for the pink...meh.
