Maybe that burkas formed from parrot feathers would be better? The Destroying Religion Threat is extended no beyond their boundaries into where it rightfully belongs which is that all speech is political, parodical and parrots.

Destroy politics then Money key ball so tall with a gory hiss story.

Dude - just a line to say thanks for keeping the cloud so clean lately. Thankless task normally but here's a big thank you note from a mod fan :)

I'm not a regular poster (take that as you will!) However, I have always held fond regard for your work on these sites.

I stumbled across another of your talks on boingboing...

"IMHO, the only time it's right to bitch about religion is when it works its way into politics and starts affecting other people"

I was looking around for discussions about the Burka and its effects on the British society and threads about the offence these garments cause.

Perhaps I can run something by you and see if it lights a spark.

You express views with great eloquence and whilst I REALLY DON'T WANT to come across like I'm kissin ass, I do believe that if you wanted to start this up, it would be done a lot better than I could do it.

I'm leaning on the much discussed idea of Muslim womens usage of the Burka in free countries such as the UK, (my country.)

As a stimulant towards the discussion of offence that this garment causes in such free countries, I'm suggesting a proactive approach towards exposure of these seperatist/exclusionist actions and hopefully the sensible discussion of/action on same.

I feel making a stand against these garments is worthwhile.

How about twenty people walking into different banks over a week, sporting (and refusing to remove) balaclavas?

After being kicked out of the bank or at worst out of the police station for wasting police time, the whole episode would end up as a rather cheap and effective exposure into how the cultures/demands of one society is not necessarily welcomed across the board and perhaps should not be tolerated without consequence.

Wouldn't that make the point of objection towards undesireables - you know, their statement of seperation that such garments scream.

OK, I've made the introduction. I hope you can use this idea and perhaps put your usual energy into developing it.

      Thanks for reading.

      Mark.

      Happy birthday for next week.
Haven't seen anything from you about killing religion recently.
Really enjoyed that post - some years ago now.
      Any sign of a revival?
      All the best.
