Monkey: What do you do for money?

Well im glad you asked Bink!

I actually worked as a sales manager for a couple companies and through a stock deal made a nice sum of money, I started my company over 2 years ago I suppose and since then have run a nice business as a one stop shop for the window washing and pressure cleaning industry.

Are you married?

Nope, just broke up with a longtime girlfriend before summer ...

Sorry to hear that. What kind of education do you have?

Well I was a major in philosophy but realized that unless I wanted to be a teacher there wasent much for me to do after school so I switched to english, got my degree.

Then decided to get into IT, went to college and grabbed my MCSE, well anyone with that knows it was really more of a fade and I stumbled upon a sales job, didnt even plan on being in sales but I took the job and did well enough in three months that I was approached and asked what territory I wanted, I picked new york and new jersey and I was gone, lived there for awhile and worked for the company for years, the company had chase bank pull millions of dollars and it destroyed the company, overnigth the company closed, I moved around and took a vacation for a year then settled in Vancouver, thats where I worked at a couple different places and was lucky enough to grab a ton of stock from this one company, sold it at a really nice profit and started my own company ...

Wow. Sounds like you've had an interesting anf fortuitious run. What do you do when you're not busy with your company?

Well im a moderator for a philosophy channel on IRC, im a member of the humanist society of Canada, I like to read, kayak, chase women, im a volunteer for the international film festival, I have written articles that were published for Lonely Planet, I go to philosophers cafes we have here in Vancouver, hang out on the beach, go camping ...

I mostly find myself reading or meeting friends at coffee shops to smoke and drink coffee, I used to bike all over town but my bike was stolen a year or so ago.

Btw whats with the title of this ? chat with a monkey? Its kind of insulting, why not make it the way everyone elses title is "Interview with ArghMonkey", come on ...

Volunteer at the international film festivle, that sounds very interesting. Do tell...

The international film fest is one of the biggest fests here, the director of the festival has taken a turn toward quality not showmanship, so while Toronto gets the red carpet we get a lot of indie stuf and award winners.

I haev multiple roles at the festival, including organization and crowd control, lots of fun, saw over 23 movies last festival without really trying AND met lots of great chicks and had a lot of fun at the parties...

I did, actually I met Jared Leto at the festival, there were lots of other actors actually ...

I sense a lot of anger in your political posts. Is there a single, foundational basis for this anger?

I am also endlessly disappointed in the human race, we have the potential to do good but 9 times out of 10 we chose the bad, I have had to come to terms with the reality that we are just animals that got too smart for our own good, that we dont deserve the position and power we have now and that we probably will never fix the problems we create.

How would you know this? I am as insulted by this header, if it were me I would rip shreds off you as you should know better being a moderator and all, PM IcesTorm before there is a storm in a tea cup.
